The rest of Texas, Florida and Tennessee, and seven Canadian markets

Ask: the record, in your own words
Ask Groundbreak anything you would ask a researcher who has read every permit, deed, loan and lien: who pulled the most permits, which lenders are most active, what builders pay for a lot, which jobs sit in a flood zone, how this month compares with last. The answer comes back with the table, a CSV and the records behind it, in any of our seven markets.
It opens with questions picked for your work and checked against the record first, so each one has an answer.

Flood zones on every permit, project and lot
Every parcel now carries its FEMA flood zone. Filter Records and Projects to the ones in a flood zone, where the building code requires flood protection on new and substantially improved buildings, or to the coastal high hazard V zones. Builds has a flood toggle too.
In Miami over the last 90 days: 120 permits in coastal V zones, from Brickell Bay Drive to Tahiti Beach.

Builds: who is building, what they paid for the land, and what it sold for
Every lot a builder bought to build on, followed from the land sale through the demolition and building permits to the sale of the new house, in Tampa Bay and Charlotte. A map with the county's lot lines, the builders ranked, and each builder's LLCs pulled together by their mailing address. Teardowns are one click.
In the City of Tampa over the last two years: 354 teardowns, a median of $400K for the land and $862K for the new house, 30 months apart.

Watching: what moved on the projects and companies you follow
Star a project or a company and Today shows what changed on it: a new permit, a deed, a status change, a new filing that names the company. Every market you watch, newest first, under your Radar.

Filter by county, then city
The place filter on Records and Projects now reads the way you think about a market: the county first, then the cities and communities in it, each spelled once. Pick a whole county or just the towns you cover.

Towers and tower cranes filed with the FAA
New towers and the cranes that build them now show up in Radar and on the project file as soon as they are filed with the FAA, in every market: the height, where it is, and how long the crane stays. The sponsor is named once the FAA clears it.

Project files take their size from the permits
A project file now fills in floors, square feet and units from the building permits filed for it, in every market. A job filed as several permits adds up: two fire areas of 90 and 20 units read as 110.
