Glossary
Parcel (folio, PIN, account number)
A parcel is the unit of land the county assessor identifies with one number: a folio in Miami-Dade, a PIN in Mecklenburg, a property ID in Travis CAD. Every permit, deed and loan that touches the land can be joined to it by that number.
Why it matters for a lead
The parcel number is how a permit, a deed, a loan and a zoning case become one project. When the records disagree about the address, the parcel is the truth.
